Woodlawn is a very big/ beautiful school that may as well be the empty lot it was prior to building the school. Teachers at this school are not about teaching their students. Students are sent out of class for the smallest of things and routed to TOR. Many of the teachers there should not teach as it is clear that the student is not the priority. I am looking for a different school for my child next school year, somewhere that he can actually be successful in class and not just their athletic division.

This school may have a few quality teachers, but the majority have no business teaching. The guidance department lacks interest in the future of WHS students. I was even told by an 11th grade counselor that she was just counting the days till she could move back to Atlanta... this was the 2nd week of school! The quality of education, even if an all honors graduate, doesn't prepare students for college. There should be a poll not only of the number of graduates that go to college, but a poll seeing how many of those students actually stay in college. I imagine the number is pretty slim. The administration is the most rude, unfriendly, unhelpful group of people I have ever met... this includes the front office. I have no choice but to send my children here... and that is a shame.
