My child is in the readiness kindergarten class. My child has been bullied, beat up, picked on and ridiculed since day 1 by staff, a fellow classmate, and an older student in the bus. I'm disgusted by this school. I've had many talks with the teacher and principal, they'll "handle it" is what I've been told since September when the technology teacher made my, and other 5 year old kids cry for needing to go to the bathroom after lunch... Well of course they need to go potty after lunch!!!
The school is simply lazy when it comes to making kids feel safe and welcome. They humiliate these kids.
I'm from Jenison, we only live in this district because of my husbands job. Our child comes home crying with these horrible stories about a kid punching him in the stomach daily and the staff does nothing. A kid on the bus threatens his life. This crap would NEVER happen in Jenison! Everything gets pushed under the rug, they don't deal with anything here. We will not be signing out child up here next year that's for sure. I'll homeschool or drive the 30 minutes everyday to Jenison before I send my child back to this crappy district.
I could go on and on, but I think I've made my point!
