School Notes

Focus Academy began in 2012 as the dream of a small group of parents of children with special needs: a school wheretheir children would feel valued, supported, and not just encouraged, but expected to succeed. A school where their children's strengths were recognized, where they were prepared not just for academic success, but for a full and satisfying future with meaningful work, social success, and lifelong friendships. Focus Academy is built on that dream. And through collaboration and a sense of partnership with parents and families, Focus Academy enables each student to make that dream their reality.

Our mission:
  • To provide our students with an educational community where they feel valued, supported and successful
  • To create a learning environment where success is expected
  • To provide our students with rich and varied opportunities for individual development; social interaction and connection; relationship building and social emotional growth
