With a rating of a 3 in the Garfield county Grand Valley district 16, and a rating of 5 in the Roaring Forks district, G.S. District no. Re-2's rating is a 5, I have to wonder if the tax money for the Garfield County schools stays up valley where there is more affluent families. It is a shame that Parachutes new middle school boasts the most updated equipment for science that is very seldom if ever implemented, minimal electives that do not include art, band but not orchestra, and shop. Physical Ed. is only available one semester per year. Is all of our tax dollars going to unnecessary administration and our students class time spent studying for testing? I feel our tax dollars are misspent and needs to be spent directly on our children's learning and the essential employees should be given a long overdue raise.
